We each have over 20 years’ experience in cyber security, Enterprise Architecture and technology, with backgrounds in Financial Services, Government & Defence, as well as the Engineering & Manufacturing Sectors.
Nothing. we provide them free to local community groups.
Our mission is to provide everyone with the right knowledge to better protect themselves.

It’s Simple, we believe cyber security affects everyone, and with this in mind we wanted to create a space where security information is easy to understand and can be consumed by anyone.
Our online information services are free to all.
We maintain our service by funding CMS ourselves, and occasionally exceedingly kind donations by our readers
As per some of our articles for small businesses, the answer in short is, Yes!.
Small businesses often do not have the resources to recover from data breaches, reputational damage, or ransomware attacks.
as a minimum we would recommend mitigating controls to minimise these threat risks.
The law applies to everyone within the UK. These simple guides are designed to help everyone understand their obligations.
Often small business don’t realise that they too, need to protect payments in line with PCI-DSS or protect customer data in accordance with GDPR.
As an aside, when it comes to privacy we will also include applicable laws in other jurisdictions

As you know, this site is maintained and personally funded by it’s creator.
We aim to keep this site free for all, but to do so we need people to use it.
Having seen a decline in users accessing Cyber Made Simple, if this down trend continues the cost of running it will out perform its usefulness and we will have to consider shutting it down.
